Don's thoughts on painting

On the Bullfighter series:  I love Mexican art, love the vibrant colours, love Mexico and so it is fitting that I would end up with a beautiful Chihuahua. I never had a dog or even wanted one before Bella but she brought out the best in my painting. She went to art class with me each and every day; she is the inspiration behind every painting I have done. I try to highlight motion with vibrant colours in each of the bullfighter canvases.
